Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home - Ponchatoula on Jan. 21, 2026.
Aryan Lane Patterson Martinez was born on October 9, 2013. She gained her angel wings on January 18, 2026. She was a very talented, energetic, smart, beautiful, kind-hearted young lady. Everyone who knew her knew how much she adored her parents, little sisters, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Aryan could look at a picture or object and freehand draw it. Her sketchbooks are full of creative drawings of a wide variety of subjects; some even displayed in museums across Louisiana and Mississippi. She excelled in school, always making honor roll from kindergarten through the sixth grade. Aryan loved going to Sunday School, reading her graphic novels, drawing, and creating things. She made everything she touched unique to her. Her smile and sweet giggle would light up any room she was in. She loved converse shoes, music, dancing, swimming, going to the beach, and carrying her stuffed rabbit and stuffed dog anywhere she went. Her favorite foods were red beans and rice, rice and gravy, chocolate croissants, and java chip coffee. Aryan would spend her time with her friends and cousins making videos so they could become TikTok famous one day. She told all her friends at school her name was "Aryan Angel", and they believed her and called her that all year.
Left behind to cherish her memories is her parents, Naomi and Miguel Martinez; little sisters, Mariah and Nevaeh Martinez; her grandparents, Calvin King, Tausha and Ted Williams, Rhonda Burlison, Maria Martinez, Jaun Palacios, Carlos Martinez, Renee Green, and Erick and Sandy Patterson; great grandparents, Maria Belen, Dorothy Stone, and Felix; great great-grandmother, Hortencia Oyervides; aunts, Elizabeth Johnson, Faith Hibley, Sarah King, Amy King, Karla Guerrero, Tessa Smithhart, Maria Guzman, Claudia Rodriguez, Heather Denham, Laycee King, Leah Green, Stephanie Green, Santos, Dawn Menona, Kim Stone, Ashley Stone, Samantha Stone and Theresa Stone; uncles, Benjamin King, Carlos Martinez, Oscar Martinez, Andres Guerrero, Jerry Johnson, Bryan Hibley, Garret Smithhart, Eduardo Martinez, Felix, Michael Stone, Chad Stone, John Menona, Joe Stone and Terry Burlison; cousins, Braxton, Bryson, Valentino, Bayleigh, Ava, Emma, Bryleigh, Jaxon, Maya, Oliver, Eliel, Allen, Deivyn, Victoria, Jasmine, Brynlee, Garret Jr., Kynlee, Zoey, Brett, Jace, Jordanne, and Sabrina ; and a host of friends that have become family.
She is preceded in death by her four angel siblings; great great-grandmother, Emma Rachel Landers; great grandparents, Ruth King and Joe Stone; aunt, Iris Sanchez Martinez; and cousin, JJ Denham.
