Asa David Boyd
October 26, 1943 – November 2, 2022
Funeral services for Asa David Boyd, age 79 of Bosco, Louisiana will be held 1:00PM Monday, November 7, 2022 at Crossroads Baptist Church in Columbia, Louisiana. The Boyd family will receive visitors at Crossroads Baptist Church on Sunday, November 6, 2022 from 5:00pm-8:00pm. Burial will follow at Fellowship Baptist Cemetery.
Asa David Boyd was born on October 26, 1943 at River View Ranch in Columbia, Louisiana to his parents, the late Joseph Thomas Boyd and Emma Vernice Kilby Boyd. He passed from this life on November 2, 2022 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe following a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Ashley David Boyd, and the mother to his children, Mildred Hunt Boyd. He was also preceded in death by his brothers: John Thomas, Joseph Lomer, and his sisters Emma Frances Boyd and Sybil Strickland. Asa David served his country in the US Army including the Vietnam war.
Left to cherish his memory are his three sons, Brian (Anissa) Boyd of Columbia, Brandon (Karen) Boyd of West Monroe, and Joey (Angie) Boyd: his daughter Rita Brown of Bosco: two brothers, CH (Debbie) Boyd of Columbia, and Troy (Maria) Boyd of Columbia: his sister-in-laws, Elvia Boyd, and Peggy Boyd: his grandchildren: Andrew Boyd, Kaitlin Boyd, Katie Perot, Ashton Boyd, Zoe Boyd, Gage Boyd, Stephanie Mullins, Jaby Carr, Madison Humphrey, and host of great grandkids and nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Walter Simmons, Jimmy Boyd, Michael Boyd, Heath Boyd, Troy Boyd, Jr., and Chris Gonzales. Honorary pallbearers are Charlie Mack Rowland, Dennis Rowland, Jason Broussard, and Michael Herrington.
