Asencion Ramirez Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by San Jose Funeral Home - Central on Dec. 1, 2025.

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Asencion "Chon" Ramirez of Cd. Juarez, Chih, a loyal husband, devoted father, grandfather, friend and gentle soul whose presence brought a smile, warmth and steadiness to everyone around him. He was the last of a generation in that line of the Ramirez family.

Chon was a loving and patient father, and a man who led by quiet example. He was a wise and thoughtful man. Humble and kind, he was known for his unselfish heart and the way he gave his attention generously to others, making every person who crossed his path feel seen and valued.

A great provider, he cared deeply for his family, not only through his hard work but through the simple, everyday acts that revealed his character. He enjoyed nothing more than sitting at the table talking with his beloved wife and friends and family, sharing stories, laughter, and the comfort of companionship built over years.

He was famous for his burritos, a family favorite that no one could quite recreate. He cherished time with his friends and family, especially when gathered around a table to play lotería, filling the room with joy, friendly competition, and connection.

A neighborly and gracious man, he greeted others with a smile that warmed hearts and made them feel welcome. As a grandfather, he was attentive and engaged, always ready to play, listen, or simply sit with the ones who adored him.

Above all, he was a kind human being, the sort of person whose legacy is not measured in grand gestures but in the countless quiet moments of love, patience, and generosity he offered throughout his life.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

He is survived by his dear friends from Segundo Barrio, whom he cared for deeply. He is also survived by his son Ruben Ramirez and Arturo and Isela Torres, grandsons Yadira Silva, Jaime Torres, Landon Ramirez and Corbin Ramirez. He was preceded in death by his parents Julia Rivera of Agua Nueva, Chih and his father Feliciano Ramirez of Leon, Guanajuato, and his brothers Santos Ramirez and his sisters Maria Luisa Ramirez, Guillermina Ramirez Luna, Rosalia Ramirez Carrillo, Justina Ramirez Luevano, Ramona Guerrero Ramirez and Josefina Ramirez Gutierrez.
