"Death is but crossing the world, as friends do the seas; they live in one another still….This is the comfort of friends, that though they may be said to die, yet their friendship and society are, in the best sense, ever present, because immortal."
William Penn, "More Fruits of Solitude"
Ashley, you live on in the memories you gave us. Brandon's and my heart's go out to your friends and family.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

My heart goes out to Ashleys Mom and Dad and Brother!!! She was a beautiful person inside and out! I worked with Ashley as her Supervisor at the Equine Medical center and she was a hard worker and very good with the horses. Her life was cut very short and it makes me very sad but I guess God has bigger plans for Ashley in heaven. She was a Angel her on earth and She is A Angel in heaven!!!! Rest in peace Ashley with all my love T.T

Debbie, David, and Andrew,
I wanted to take this opportunity to express my sympathy and condolences. I haven’t talked to Ashley in quite some time but it seems like yesterday we were growing up together and discovering the world, each in our own way but acting as a unit. We got into a lot of mischief but we always got out of trouble by figuring it out together. We had our fair share of fights, like friends do, but always started talking to each other again before we knew it. We had countless sleepovers, staying up late, giggling, and talking. I don’t think there is a part of Bull Run Mountain that we didn’t walk around.
The tragedy of what has happened still weighs heavily on my heart and I think about all of you at least twice a day when I pass the house in the morning and at night. I hope you know I am right down the street and am able and willing to do anything that might help. Love, Sarah

My sweet, beautiful niece....since you were a baby I've watched you grow and become a wonderful young woman. You had these little fat cheeks that I loved to kiss and squeeze when you were a baby, as you grew up you'd reluctantly still let me kiss them and occaisionally squeeze them, and sometimes I didn't even have to say anything and you'd come over to me and stick your face towards me and say "ok Aunt Terri , go ahead" I will miss your face the most because of that, but not having you here with us to hold or touch ever again....there are no words to describe it. You are with JohnJohn now, please give him a hug from all of us, but a special one from me. Until we meet again....Love you forever, Aunt Terri

Our "Miss" Ashley (as I often called her) was dearly loved by all who knew her. She was considered one of the family and like a daughter to both Steve and myself. Everyone will miss that smiling beautiful face. She was always there to help anyone she could. Words will never express how much she was loved by our family - as we all will miss her very much and will be in our hearts forever.
Our deepest sympathy and prayers go out to all family and friends.

My heart goes out the to the family and friends of Ashley B. Rexroad. For such a young sweet person to have her life end so short there are no words. She will be missed by many. I have been blessed to have known her for many years and actually have had plans to have her with Rachel and I on our vacation trip together this summer. She so looked forward to these greater things in life! Her passion and care for animals can be envied by anyone. Ashley helped us with our first litter of pups and we gave her one (Lily) she named her was allways in the best of care. To her family my thoughts and prayers are with you!
