Mr. Asia Ray Hodge, age 84, entered into rest on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at his home. Funeral services will be 6:00 PM Wednesday, November 29, 2023 in the Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel By Rev. Wayne Hodge with a private burial in the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date. The family will greet friends from 5:00 – 6:00 PM Wednesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Hodge was born July 19, 1939 in Ruby, SC a son of the late Johnny and Jeanette Brock Hodge. Mr. Hodge retired from Challenger and went on to work in lawn care during his retirement. He was one of the founding members of the Chesterfield Church of God where he attended faithfully for many years. Asia enjoyed completing puzzles and playing checkers. Asia’s favorite food was fish but he was also known for having a sweet tooth.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hodge was also preceded in death by his wife, Margie Ray Hodge; daughter, Elizabeth “Dete” Roscoe; granddaughter, Hope; great granddaughter, Bailey; and sister, Noki.
Survivors include his children, Sylvia Ray (Dennis) Winburn of McBee, SC, Danny Lee (Sharon) Hodge, Sr. of Ruby, SC, Lisa Ann (Charles Freeman) Hodge of Chesterfield, SC; siblings, Homer, Rex, Charles, Toby, Louise, Audrey, Betty, Judy; grandchildren, Stacy, Dawn, Danny Lee, Jr., Daniel, Danielle, Shanda, Christopher; great-grandchildren, Summer, Autumn, Hayden, Austin, Alex, Kamryn, Peyton, Kaitlyn, Abby, Noah, Aubrie, Christina, Christian, great-great grandchildren, Wade, and Attie.
Memorials may be made to the Chesterfield Church of God, P.O. Box 64, Chesterfield, SC 29709.
