Astrid Erickson Obituary
Erickson, Astrid (Peg) M., of Defiance, MO, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at the age of 96. Dearest wife of the late Robert (Bob) Erickson; dear daughter of the late Carl Olson and Gerda Allgren, devoted mother of Reed (Deborah) Erickson, Scott (Nancy) Erickson and Lynne (Dewayne) Bryant; beloved grandmother of 6; dear sister of Wanda Lordan (nee Olson).
She is preceded in death by her brothers, Kurt Olson and Bertil (Bert) Olson.
Peg was a dedicated and supportive wife, mom, sister, cousin, in-law and friend to many. After raising her children to school age, she went back to school herself and earned her associates degree in English from Union College of Cranford, NJ.
She volunteered her time at the Shepherd’s Center of Richmond, VA and at the Missouri Botanical Garden. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, visiting wineries and spending time with family.
Memorials may be made to The Salvation Army.
