Athanasios (TOM) Dimitropoulos, age 74, fell asleep in the Lord May 19, 2023. Loving father of Holly (Neil McLaughlin), Vassilios (Christina) and Stamatis Dimitropoulos. Former husband of Konstantina Dimitropoulos. Beloved partner of Maria Kammenos. Devoted son of the late Vasilios and Hariklia Dimitropoulos. Proud grandfather of Konstantina, Katerina and Alexander McLaughlin, Athanasios, Sophia and Konstantina Dimitropoulos. Dear brother of George Dimitropoulos. Fond uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Athanasios was very supportive and caring of others, had a great sense of humor and was always looking to help others. He was a hard-working man and ahead of his time in his love of computers, technology and business. Athanasios was curious, self-educated, and was an avid life-long learner. He was very pragmatic and could tell great stories. Athanasios was very proud of his entire family.
Visitation Friday, May 26 from 9:00 AM until time of Funeral Service 10:00 AM at The Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Demetrios 839 North Church Road, Elmhurst, IL 60126. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove, IL. Memorial donations to Lou and Jean Malnati Brain Tumor Institute 541 North Fairbanks Court, Suite 800 Chicago, IL 60611 would be appreciated.
