Aubrey Murray Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home on Aug. 20, 2024.
Aubrey E. Murray, of Canton passed away peacefully on August 19, 2024, at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts, Aubrey grew up in Dedham and proudly graduated from Dedham High School. After his formative years, he served with honor and distinction in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era, an experience that shaped his character and instilled in him a profound sense of duty and service.
Following his military tenure, Aubrey dedicated many years of his life to BTE Inc. in Boston, where he worked as an HVAC Technician. He retired in 2008, leaving behind a legacy of excellence and reliability that his colleagues would long remember.
For 35 years, Aubrey called Canton home, a place where he and his beloved wife, Patricia E. Murray (nee Tanner), cultivated a life filled with joy and companionship. Together, they built a family, with Aubrey embracing the role of step-father to Ian Frattasio of Easton and Julie Felton of Norton. He was a doting grandfather to Kaley, Emma, and Riley Felton, each of whom brought immense happiness and pride to his life. Aubrey was the cherished brother of Mary Jane Lucas of Bourne, Andrew Murray of Canton, James Murray of Dedham, and Alan Murray.
His interests were simple yet profound. Aubrey enjoyed working in his garden. He was always ready to lend a hand with household projects, embodying the very essence of a handyman. However, it was the time spent with his family that Aubrey treasured above all else. The moments shared, the laughter, and the love were the true highlights of his life.
Aubrey's presence was a gift to all who knew him. He was the sort of person who entered a room and brought with him a sense of calm and friendliness. His ability to connect with others, to lend an ear or a helping hand, was unparalleled. He left an indelible mark on the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with him.
In his passing, Aubrey E. Murray leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and devotion. His memory will be cherished, and his spirit will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known him. Aubrey's life was a testament to the enduring power of kindness and the strength of familial bonds. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a beacon of light in the lives of many.
