Aubrey Murray, of St. Charles, MO, passed from this life and went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the age of 92. Loving husband of the late Ann Murray; beloved son of the late Marvin and Lula Murray; devoted father of Stan (Kim) Murray and Cynthia (Christopher) Murray-Ortwerth and treasured grandfather to Tad, Kolby and Kasen Murray. He was the dear brother of the late Etta (late Wesley) Kazzee, late James (late Betty) Murray, late Retta (Richard) Cox, late Mary (Gary) Roney, Leroy (June) Murray, Marvin (late Lana) Murray, Jr, Donald (Naomi) Murray and Ronald (Diane) Murray as well as many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Aubrey was born on August 18, 1933 in Butler County, MO.
Aubrey served proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War. Following his honorable discharge from military service, he attended Arkansas State University at Jonesboro, Ark. He and Ann moved to St. Louis where he was employed with McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Company. He began his career with McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Company on the shop floor assembly line working on the Phantom F-4 fighter Jet and retired after 42 years of service as the Director of Production Control.
Aubrey was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. The family enjoyed vacations to Florida and family reunions. He was an avid hunter traveling several states hunting quail and pheasant. He enjoyed golf and played often with his son Stan and brother Ron. He spent alot of time with his grandsons doing what they all enjoyed with sports and teaching them about life. He loved being around family and was happy to see his daughter in law Kim and son in law Christopher when they visited. He was a gifted handyman who enjoyed helping family and friends with carpentry, electrical and mechanical repairs. Aubrey had a great love of baseball and was an ardent St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Aubrey was a friendly and caring person who was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
