Aubrey Samuel “Sammy” White III, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Conyers, Georgia, on November 16, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 20, 1952, in Thomaston, Georgia, Aubrey lived a life that touched many hearts and was filled with cherished memories.
A proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, Aubrey served honorably at Paris Island and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal for his dedication and service to his country. His commitment to duty was matched only by his passion for engaging in spirited conversations, where he loved to "debate" but always delighted in being right.
Aubrey's life was enriched by his family, including his devoted wife of 35 years, Nesha White, with whom he created countless memories, such as their memorable travels to Kentucky. He is survived by his two sons, Sean (Martha) White and Thomas Cannon, who carry on his legacy of love and kindness. Aubrey was also a proud grandfather to 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy. His memory will be held dear by his siblings, Clara Garcia and Jimmy Pope, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In his earlier years, Aubrey enjoyed the thrill of rides at Six Flags with his children and often found satisfaction in working on cars and trucks, embracing hands-on projects that brought him joy. His warm nature and easy conversation made every interaction meaningful, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A visitation will be held in his honor on November 21, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Roy Davis Funeral Home, located at 5935 Mulberry St, Austell, GA 30168. This will be followed by a funeral service on November 22, 2025, beginning at 1:00 PM, also at the same location.
Aubrey Samuel White III’s legacy of love, laughter, and family will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew him, reminding us all of the precious moments we shared.
