Audelia Hiracheta, age 88 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on January 26, 2025. She was born May 20, 1936 in Benjamin, Texas to her loving parents Pedro and Lorenza Palacio. Audelia was raised on her family farm in Lockett, Texas. She met her husband and together they built a life, marrying and starting a family of their own. In the 1970’s, they eventually settled in Wasco, CA. She worked in the fields of Kern County and in the roses. Before retiring, she worked at a Nursing Home. Audelia enjoyed pruning her roses at her home and would love to visit Donuts To Go on 7th Street for coffee, donuts, and a good talk with her friends. Her friends knew her as “Sweetie.” She loved to be in her kitchen sharing her love of food with her family and friends. Anyone who went to visit her knows she wouldn’t give you the chance to sit down before she offered you food and something to drink. Her home was a vivid testament to her love for her family, filled with pictures everywhere each accompanied by a story. We can’t forget to mention her dolls, she loved her dolls. All of which had a story as well. She had a huge passion for dancing and one of her favorites included the “Jitterbug”. She enjoyed crocheting in her free time. She frequently traveled back to her home state of “Texas” to visit with her parents and siblings. Her family often said that she was the life of the party making them laugh with her stories.
Audelia is preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Lorenza Palacio; her husband, Antonio C. Hiracheta; her children, Antonio, Louie, Raul, Yolanda, and Johnny; her brothers, Lupe, Alfredo, and Jessie; her sisters, Sally, Eloisa, and Josephina; and her grandson, Richard Garcia. She is survived by her children, Arturo, Robert, Irma, Petra, and Peter; her sisters, Herminia and Elvira; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
A Special Thank You Our family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to granddaughter, Salina Beltran and her family for her love and dedication in caring for our grandmother over the past ten years. We truly don’t know what we would have done without Salina’s selfless commitment to providing full-time care when Grandma needed it most. Salina’s love and dedication meant the world to our grandmother and to all of us. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. We also want to give a special thanks to one of her caregivers, Karen Ezzel, with whom Grandma shared a special bond and Jessica Moore for her exceptional care for the past 4 years. Additionally, we appreciate the compassionate support and care from the VITAS Healthcare team.
