Audrey D. Euerle, age 82 of Litchfield, MN died on Saturday November 18, 2023 at her home. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday December 1, 2023 at the St. Matthew’s United Church of Christ in Forest City. Visitation will be held from 9:00 - 11:00 AM on Friday morning prior to the service. Interment will be in Ripley Cemetery, Litchfield, MN. The service will be livestreamed at www.johnsonhagglund.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Litchfield Community Homes.
Audrey DeEtte Euerle, the daughter of Alvin and Dorothy (Brown) Miller was born at her family home in Dassel, MN on December 12, 1940. She went to kindergarten in Dassel, first through 6th grade in Maynard Lake Country School and graduated from Dassel High School in 1958. Audrey was united in marriage to Gerald Euerle on December 20, 1958 at the Dassel Mission Covenant Church. Over the years Audrey took pride in caring for her home and farm; but she also worked for Pro-Vid-All Feed Company and 21 years at the nursing home as a dietary aide. She was a caregiver at heart and helped start the Meeker County Community Homes. She loved to read and was active with the Eden Valley and Litchfield Libraries. Having a passion for history; Audrey spent countless hours putting together her family genealogy and created a local cemetery book. She travelled to Canada, England, Germany, Austria, Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, D.C., California, Missouri and Texas. She enjoyed trivia, playing cards, cooking special treats and meals for family and friends and spending time with all of her family.
Audrey is survived by her husband Gerald of Litchfield, MN; children Julie (Roger) Lounsbury of Litchfield, MN, Greg (Sharon) Euerle of Litchfield, MN, Jeanne Ver Dugt of Fairmont, MN, Preston (Linda) Euerle of Clearwater, MN and Cheryl (Joe) Flood of Fond du Lac, WI; 17 grandchildren Nikki Mitchell, Karri Hoffmann, Staci Sing, Brittany Euerle, Angela Wannigman, Courtney Euerle, Hallie Euerle, Jacob Ver Dugt, Jayme Meyer, Terin Sytsma, Tyson Euerle, Kellan Euerle, Tracey Golden, Amber Engle, Ashley Macchia, Taylor Thornton and MacCrea Flood; 25 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings Hubert, Clyde and Norma; and nephew Dan.
