Audrey Fendrick Eisenstat Kaufman

Audrey Fendrick Eisenstat Kaufman died, in Florida, at the age of 96 years old on May 27.
Audrey embraced all of life's gifts; community, learning, and most importantly family. Audrey was an active member of Haddasah and Temple Israel, where she served many years on the education committee. She never stopped learning and challenging herself. Audrey was a graduate of Central High School and The Melton Adult Learning Institute. She was a Scout Leader and an avid golfer and bridge player. She loved to travel and explore her own roots and heritage. During her 96 years she never lost her curiosity for new adventures, technology or meeting new friends.
The foundation of Audrey's life was her family. Audrey was the daughter of Jack and Mae Spiegel Fendrick and sister to Rita Freeman and Donald Fendrick.
She and her husband Wallace Eisenstat celebrated 50 years of marriage. Her children, Rabbi Jeffrey Eisenstat (Rabbi Sarah Messinger) and Debra Eisenstat and Bruce Eisenstat z'l, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as all her beloved nieces and nephews all are blessed to have had Audrey's joyous love and humor inspiring their lives. Audrey and Wally treated their family like their Pepsi Cola business; with love, vision, and commitment.
How very fortunate that Audrey was to be able to share her life for 15 years with Sidney Kaufman. Together they took great pride in Sid's children, Deb Mahr, Barbie (Randy) Boroff as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore, with services by her son and daughter-in-law, Rabbi Jeffrey Eisenstat and Rabbi Sarah Messinger.
Interment to follow in the Dalton Jewish Cemetery.

Friends may be received during a local shiva at the Hilton Hotel, 100 Adams Avenue in downtown Scranton on Friday from 4-6 p.m.
