Audrey Ferrick Obituary
Audrey C. Ferrick of Biddeford Pool, ME entered peacefully into eternal rest on August 28, 2023, at Sunrise, Huntington Common in Kennebunk with her husband, son and daughter-in law at her side. Audrey was born on February 28, 1932, in New Britain, CT. She was the daughter of the late Andrea and Lena Chiappini. Audrey graduated with a teaching degree from Central CT State College and taught elementary school in the New Britain, CT school system for 30 years. Upon retiring she and Joe moved to their summer home in Maine. Audrey was a former board member of Southern Maine Medical Center where she and Joe were also volunteers for 15 years. They were once the recipients of the volunteers of the year award. Audrey loved the years she spent with her grandchildren attending their sporting events, having them (and their dog Lucy) for sleepovers and making them enormous batches of chocolate chip cookies. She enjoyed the beach, socializing at the Abenakee Club, cooking, entertaining and working in her yard from dawn to dusk. Audrey leaves behind her husband of 66 years, Joseph D. Ferrick, son David Ferrick and daughter-in-law Cindy of Kennebunk, grandson Andrew Ferrick and fianc Meaghan of Biddeford Pool, and granddaughter Allison Ferrick of Brookline, MA. The family will announce a memorial service at a later date. Those who wish may make donations in Audreys memory to the Biddeford Pool Land Trust Address, P.O. Box 306, Biddeford Pool, ME 04006. I remember Audrey as such a friendly, warm person. We met when her son David was part of our ( Mark &Sharyn) youth group in New Britain, CT. If I lived in her town, I´m certain we would have been great friends!! My condolences to David and Joe

Sending love to Joe and condolences to the family. Joe and Audrey welcomed this young Ohio girl to New Britain and made me feel safe and welcome. I last saw them on the Marginal Way in Ogunquit .

Mrs. Ferrick was my 2nd grade teacher at Lincoln School back in the 70s. I was just thinking about her the other day for the first time in years. My condolences to her family.

My husband, Bill and I met Audrey and Joe many many many years ago in Biddeford Pool after they retired, we´ve been coming to Biddeford pool with our children and now our grand children since 1979 several years after we met them we realized that we also had something else in common. We loved Melissa Ferricks music, she is their niece , I don´t think a year went by that we didn´t stop and visit with them. We always said that as soon as the kids and grandkids quit coming with us, that we were going to come and stay with them..because it was smaller and when we come we still have eleven so we couldn´t all fit in the side house . Audrey was always so welcoming always saying when are you going to stay at our place and so was Joe, Joe always talked about baseball with my husband. I have so many warm memories of the two of them. They were always a special part of our visit each year. when I last stopped by Audrey wasn´t feeling well and I spoke to Tina Delvecchio and told her to give our love to Audrey and Joe. It hurts my heart to think I´ll never be able to say hi to Audrey again what a sweet, loving woman.
Joe we will stop by in June next year to see you.
