Audrey Jennusa, a beloved member of the Church on the Rock, has peacefully passed away at Oak Ridge Assisted Living in Beaumont, Texas. Her journey began on July 27, 1928, in Lafayette, LA, where she graced the world with her presence until her final breath on April 3, 2024.

Audrey's life was a tapestry of love, faith, and dedication. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and went on to fill her days with unwavering commitment to her family. She found solice and purpose in nurturing the women's ministries of her church, fostering a sense of community and compassion that resonated deeply with all who knew her. Audrey's devotion to her church family was unparalleled - she poured her heart into every interaction and embraced all with open arms.

Those who were fortunate enough to know Audrey will remember her not only for her faith but also for her culinary prowess. An extraordinary cook, Audrey's kitchen was always filled with the tantalizing aroma of chocolate and pineapple pies, brownies, Aunt Melva’s fried crabs and her famous gumbo, a dish that brought joy to countless family gatherings over the years.

Audrey is survived by a loving circle of family and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts forever. She leaves behind her daughter, Diane Buster (Damon) of Cypress, TX; sons, Ronnie Jennusa (Alix) of Lumberton, TX, and Donald Jennusa (Sandy) of Port Neches, TX.

In addition to her immediate family, Audrey is also mourned by six cherished grandchildren - Seth Jennusa, Angela Hughes, Teresa Buster, Jason Buster, Syd Jennusa, and Clay Jennusa; as well as twelve adored great-grandchildren: Claire, Cooper, Morgan, Christian, Matthew, Kayden, Allie, Laila, Yesenia, Cruz, Lila, and Kasen. Audrey is also survived by her dear sisters, Melva Nunez of Vidor, TX, Ena Holbrook of League City, TX, and Connie Nunez of Jasper, TX, who stood by her side throughout the seasons of life.

She will be reunited in her heavenly home with her devoted husband of 45 years, Paul M. Jennusa; her son, Michael Christopher Jennusa; and her granddaughter, Haley Jennusa.

A visitation to honor Audrey's life will be held on April 20 at 2001 Nall St., Port Neches, TX from 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM in the same location.

Audrey Jennusa's legacy is one of faithfulness, servitude, and love, a legacy that will continue to inspire all those whose lives she touched.  She may have left this earthly realm, but her spirit lives on in the memories shared by those who were blessed enough to have known this remarkable woman.
