Mass of Christian Burial for Audrey Odland, 89, of St. Peter, formerly of Marshall, will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow the service at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Marshall. A livestream and recording of the service will be available at www.holy-redeemer.com.
Audrey Marie (Kelley) Odland was born on June 19, 1933, in Lake Benton, MN, to Paul and Viola (Zimmer) Kelley. She grew up on a farm near Tyler and graduated from Tyler High School. Audrey lived in Minneapolis for a short time where she attended Business College. On June 21, 1958, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Odland. The couple lived in Brookings for a time before moving to Marshall in 1962. Audrey volunteered at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America, the Hospital Auxiliary and more. She enjoyed working in the yard, playing golf with her husband and being a part of bridge clubs and a birthday club with friends. After Kenneth's death, Audrey enjoyed travelling with close friends and family. She was especially fond of time spent with her family and was famous for her caramel rolls, banana bread, and Swedish meatballs. In 2016, Audrey moved to be closer to family in St. Peter living first at Ecumen Prairie Hill before moving to the Benedictine Living Center in 2019.
Audrey died on Thursday, February 23, 2023, under hospice care at the Benedictine Living Center in St. Peter, MN. She is survived by her son Brian (Corrie) Odland of St. Peter, their children Lauren and Peyton; son Kent (Teri) Odland of St. Michael, their children Brody, Amanda and Becca; daughter Rhonda (Pete) Heryla of Fridley, their son Peter, siblings Colleen Kelley, Mary (Donald) Balster, Greg Kelley, sisters-in-law Cathy Kelley, Karen Kelley and Cleo Kelley, nieces, nephews, in-laws, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by husband Kenneth, her parents Paul and Viola, and siblings Joan, Chuck, Clair, Carroll, Katherine (Kak), Mike and Jean.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Benedictine Skilled Nursing of St. Peter, MN or Mayo Clinic Hospice of St. Peter, MN.
