Audrey was born January 14, 1937, in Plain Dealing, Louisiana to George W. Stanley and Lou Isa Powell Stanley and passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024, in Shreveport.
Over her life, Audrey could be found at the auction, flea market, or bingo, but her greatest passion was her family. Her walls were covered with pictures of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and she had a birthday box full of cards for whomever needed to be celebrated next. The children have fond memories of her homemade French fries, condensed milk cakes, Happy Meal/Beanie Baby/ Barbie Collectibles, Cokes with bendy straws, and a home that was always full of family. Audrey had a sharp mind, a strong will, and a heart of gold. She was as loved by her in-law’s families as much as her own.
Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph (Joe) Wolfe, Jr.; parents, George W. Stanley and Lou Isa Powell Stanley; daughter, Brenda Reynolds; daughter, Tanya Ashby; daughter, Dorothy Jones; granddaughter, Mandy Wolfe; six brothers and five sisters.
Audrey and Joe were together for over 40 years until his passing in 1966. They had six children, and she is survived by her three sons, Joel H. Wolfe and wife, Mary, Dennis Wolfe and wife, Doyla, Boyd Wolfe and wife, Heather; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends from Cedar Hill Senior Apartments and Greenwood Flea Market.
Honoring Audrey as pallbearers will be Cody Wolfe, Ryan McKinney, Ryan Boudreaux, Trace Williams, Chuck Sanders, and Mark Anstead.
The family wants to thank all of the staff at Garden Park Nursing Home who loved and cared for her these past few months and those who cried with us this past week.
