Audurey Kenneth Vent, Sr. was born July 8, 1933 in Rison, Arkansas to the late Austin Lee Vent, Sr. and Bessie Greenlee Vent. He had been a resident of Van since 1989, formerly living in Kaufman and Duncanville. He worked for Chance Vought / United Aircraft /LTV as an aircraft leadman for the bonding department; he retired in 1988, after 35 years of service. He was also a faithful member of Pruitt Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved to garden and grew amazing tomatoes each year.
Mr. Vent passed away at the age of 91 on November 11, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Cathy Lynn Jones; and siblings, Elizabeth Taylor, Syble Yarborough, Austin Lee Vent, Jr. and Charles Vent.
Survivors include his children and their spouses, Kenny & Leah Vent, Joann & John Briggs, Linda Sue Smith, and Kayla & Jeriamy Schumacher; grandchildren, Kinley, Lanie, Ally Joy, Jacob, Peyton, Zachary, Cooper, Richard, Michelle, April, David, Kenneth, and Terry; and several great-grandchildren.
