August Bader

August J. Bader Jr. "Gus", born August 1, 1930 in Queens, New York to August Sr. and Madeline Bader. August served in the USN during the Korean War. He was a proud member of the Seabees. August was an Executive for the New York Telephone Company in charge of the Bureau in Manhattan Island. August and his wife, Anna raised two sons, Wayne and John. Later the two moved to Lake Havasu City. He was a member of the Eagles, Elks, and the Marine Corp League. After 40 plus years of marriage he lost his wife Anna but shortly later he found love again and married Joan Tinston. They were married for six years. August was preceded in death by his parents, and both of his wife's. He is survived by his two son's. August also, was the driving force behind the development of the USS Arizona Monument with the Mayor of Lake Havasu City with the Cooperation of the Marine Corp League.

Services will be held at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 1:00 pm with Marine Corp Honors.
