August was born July 16, 1982, in Gibson City, a son of Michael O. and Julie A. (Benson) Crowley.
He is survived by his parents, Mike and Julie Crowley of Thawville; his daughter, Aubrey Crowley of Forrest; his maternal grandmother, Reta Benson of Thawville; his paternal grandfather, Dwight Crowley of Thawville; his special friend, Erin Dietmeier of Paxton; and his chocolate Lab, Ace.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather and paternal grandmother.
August was a 2000 graduate of Paxton-Buckley-Loda High School, where he played football and was a member of the jazz band. He received his Industrial Operations Certification from Parkland College in 2009.
August took great pride in being accepted into the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 601 of Champaign. He graduated to the status of journeyman in 2014 and was most recently working for Block Electric Company in Morris, a company he greatly enjoyed working for.
He grew up helping on the family farm and someday hoped to transition there full-time as farming was in his blood as a fourth-generation farmer.
His daughter, Aubrey, was his first joy in life, and his world revolved around her and planning their next adventure. August was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating. He spent much of his time at Green Acres Sportsman's Club, where he hunted pheasants with his dog, Ace. He was a supporter of Pheasants Forever and a die-hard St. Louis Cardinals fan.
He was a very private man, but if you were accepted into his circle, you were there forever.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

I went to school with August at PBL. Mostly throughout high school we sat next to each other in bad playing trumpet. He was a quiet guy but he worked hard and we had fun! I haven´t kept in touch since graduation but it sounds like he made a great life for himself and his family. We will be praying for you all.
