Augustine Trujillo Balandran, lovingly known as Augie, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away on November 23, 2025, at the age of 77.

Augie was born on June 3, 1948, in Azuza, California, to Stella Trujillo and John Balandran. Since November 1990, Augie has been with his beloved partner, Starla Taylor, and together they have made cherished memories and a loving family. Augie's tenacity, along with his determination and alluring charm, intrigued everyone he met. He was a man with an unbelievable work ethic; he approached every day with purpose. Those who knew him will remember his ability to fill any room with excitement and laughter, make people smile no matter the circumstance, his unwavering devotion to his family, and the joy he found in lifting others up. Augie worked hard every day and made sure his loved ones were cared for and protected; his steadfast love and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, and he will be truly missed.

Augie is survived by his spouse, Starla, and his three children: Augustine Balandran of California, Yvette Perry of Oregon, and Alexander Balandran of Arkansas. He was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren: Allison, Katie, Ryan, Michael, Jacob, Picassa, and Edie; as well as several great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Sadie, Jessie, Sarah, Rosie, and Cathy; and his goddaughter and many nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Stella Balandran, and his brothers, Lawrence Balandran and Thomas Balandran.

There will be no services at this time; cremation is under the care of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
