Augustus Marcus Kormah, affectionately known as “Gussy”, was born into the union of Mr. Augustus Bobo Kormah I and Marsaydeh T. Kormah.

He is survived by seven brothers: Augustus Barbu Kormah II, Augustus Jallah Kormah III (predeceased), Augustus Bobo Kormah IV, Augustus Aaron Kekulah Kormah V, Alexander Augustus Reeves, Daniel Park, and Augustus Jallah Kormah VII. Five sisters: Augusta Paywala Kormah, Angela Savele Kormah, Lillian Ophelia Park, Rosetta Karbeh Kormah, and Alma Marlay Kormah. He is also survived by his grandparents, Tommy Tubman and Alma Ujah Miller as well as a host of beloved aunts, uncles and relatives.

Augustus was a young and promising boy. He was a fast learner, learning his numbers and letters and reading sentences at an early age. He went to daycare at Little Bright Star in 2019, and then attended Tatnuck Square Elementary School, Chandler Elementary School and finally Learning First Public Charter School, all in Worcester, MA.

Augustus was a model student and (most times) an example for other students. At school he participated in a project where he did research on smoking and the effects on the human body, he learned about the human heart and liver. He took pride in his schoolwork.

Augustus was a devoted Christian. He worshipped at St. Matthews Episcopal Church in Worcester where he was involved as an altar boy. Always well dressed, respectful and willing to help, he was loved by everyone.

One of his proudest moments was when he invited his school to help in establishing the Woo Fridge, a food pantry for the public.

Augustus loved sports, especially football. He was a member of the Worcester Vikings Football team, playing defensive back. He made many good friends and was a proud Vikings team member. He will be missed.

At home, he was loved by all family and friends. Gussy, as he was affectionally called, was so kind and loving to all of his siblings, especially Jay (Jallah) and Alma Marlay. Riding their bikes in the neighborhood, playing in the backyard, taking trips and staying in hotels was always fun for him.

We will miss his love and smiles and the potential he had to be a vibrant young man in this world. Words cannot describe what he meant to his family.
