Aurora Baca Obituary
Dora was born on April 7, 1938, to Crecencio and Amelia Salas in Las Vegas, New Mexico.
In 1954, Dora met Apolonio Baca in the small town of Las Vegas, New Mexico. Dora and Apolonio went on to have three children, Kathy, Paul, and Mario Baca. In 1979 Dora and Apolonio adopted Bernardino Baca and raised him as their own.
Dora enjoyed spending her time with family and friends. One of Dora's favorite places to be, was the casinos. None of us ever had to wonder where she was. If she wasn't home, she was in the bingo bus on her way to playing bingo and slot machines. That was what she enjoyed most.
Dora was predeceased by her Father Crecencio Salas, Mother Amelia Salas, Husband Apolonio Baca, Sisters, Emma, Lillian, and Tina, Brothers Benny, and Raymond Salas, Daughter Kathy Martinez, and Son Mario Baca. Dora is survived by her long-time partner Mario Quintana, Sons Paul and Bernie Baca, Stepdaughter Emily Quintana, followed by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held at Rogers Mortuary on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 from 3pm- 5pm.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at 10:00am at East Baptist Church 2362 East Drive in Las Vegas, NM.
Interment will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery in Las Vegas, NM.
