Austin Atkinson, age 38, of Lake Ozark, Missouri passed away on February 12, 2024. He was born on September 25, 1985 in Jefferson City, Missouri; a son of Mike Atkinson and stepmother Dee Zawislak.
Austin was a free spirit who loved his family. He shared the love of history with his father, and the two would challenge each other on the History Channel program they would watch then discuss. Family dinners were important for Austin, he enjoyed hearing what everyone was doing and hoping to find his favorite Banaa Cream Pie for dessert.
Austin leaves behind his parents Mike and Dee of Lake Ozark; a stepsister Bobbie Grant (Justyn) and their two children Jarin and Jayleigh; and step-grandmother Joan Cope.
He is proceeded in death by his grandparents Woody and Mildred Tate, an aunt Sherri Lynn Hilton and her husband Ken; and step-grandfather Paul Cope.
Friends will be received from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home Osage Beach. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home Osage Beach with Fr. Michael Penn officiating. Burial will follow at Lake Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Homes, 514 Highway 42, Osage Beach, MO 65065 (573) 348-3232. Condolences may be left online for the family at www.hedgesscottmillard.com.
