Austin "Pete" Avery, 93, retired truck driver, died Wednesday, October 18, 2023. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Monday, October 23, 2023, Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, October 24, 2023, both at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. Preceded in death by his first wife, Mable B. Avery; second wife, Donna Avery; parents, Aurbin Wilson and Ida Louise Melvina Avery; brothers, James E. Avery, Wilbur L Avery, Willa Leo Avery; sisters, Dorothy M. Avery, Ola M. Avery, Marjorie L. Avery; daughters, Freida Louise Morrison, Velma J. Riley. Survived by his brother, Marvin Avery; son, Ed Creekmore of Bentley, KS; granddaughter, Lisa Riley Dobbs and seven additional grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren.
