RIP Chief! Some folks you honor and respect the rank they wear, but there are some you respect even more as a person. It was always a joy to see you, and if we don't remember your face, we would never forget that voice. Nobody could convince you that you weren't the greatest dominoes player to ever sit at the table. Condolences to the family and get your rest Chief.

In the Air Force, there is a saying amongst the Enlisted Corp, there are those that obtain the rank of E-9 and there are those who obtain this rank and add honor to it by becoming a "Chief"!

Austin Devin was a Chief! A Chief is the epitome and the highest representative of the Enlisted Corp! A Leader, Mentor, Protector, Brother, Inspiror and more importantly, a champion for the people he represented!! It didn't matter if you were under his command or not, he was a Mentor for all those who inspired to become the best! He brought out the best in you and didn't settle for anything substandard!! A true and natural LEADER!!

He along with the other "Great Chiefs"
(not E-9s) at Nellis made Las Vegas the place to want to be stationed. He positively touched the lives of all those he encountered.

Here we see him preparing cakes at the Base Dining Facility for some of his troops to help celebrate their birthdays!! He led by example!!

He will be deeply missed!! Although gone from this side, he will remain in our hearts forever!!

On behalf of the 99th Food Services Squadron at Team Nellis, we salute CMSGT Austin Devin for all of the wonderful memories that we shared together!! May you rest in peace brother!!

To the Devine family, our Heartfelt condolences on the loss of your loved one, may our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Rest, Rule and Abide in your hearts and comfort you during our time of sorrow!!

God bless you!!
