Austin Eugene Lay

Lay, Austin Eugene - Beloved husband of 60 years to Crisandra Lay (nee Brock); Devoted father of Ron (Michelle) Lay and Steve (Shannon) Lay; Loving grandfather of Mike and Terah (Reid); Great grandfather of Zayden and Isiah; Dear brother of the late Geneva, Pearl, Bertha, Janice, and Jim; Austin worked for the Pennsylvania, Conrail, and Norfolk Southern Railroad for 41 years. In his spare time, he liked to golf in which he had a couple hole -in- ones. Austin liked to hunt and did treasure hunting with his metal detector where he found a lot of lost treasure, his best find was a rare gold coin in Sharon Woods. He loved to travel. His vacation place of choice was North Myrtle Beach where he loved walking the beach trying to find sharks teeth and unique shells. His favorite food was Calabash Seafood. He was loved by all the children in the neighborhood and was asked to even come out to play with them, he was the grandpa of the neighborhood. Austin passed away Saturday February 3, 2024 age 81 years old; Resident of Loveland; There will be a Celebration of Austin 's life at Evans Funeral Home - Goshen 1944 State Route 28 Goshen, Ohio 45122 Friday February 9, 2024 from 6:00 PM until time of Memorial Service at 7:00 PM.
