Austin Franklin Sykes of Bladenboro passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024, at his home at the age of 31. He was born in Robeson County on December 19, 1992, the son of Earl Franklin Sykes Jr. and Angelia Wright Haymon. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Carol Sykes.
Left to cherish his memory are his father Earl Sykes Jr. (Marie) of Bladenboro, mother Angi W. Haymon (Tate) of Lumberton, children Madisyn Butler (mother Mary), Willow and Raylan Sykes (mother Sharlene), all of Bladenboro, one brother Logan Sykes of Bladenboro, stepbrothers Chuck Haymon (Tina) of Tennessee, Bill Haymon (Mamie) of Tennessee, and Kendall Dove of Bladenboro, two stepsisters Danielle Dove of Bladenboro and Jenna Tatum (Kyle) of Wilmington, paternal grandfather, Earl Sykes Sr., maternal grandparents, Wayne and Margaret Wright, special cousin Dana Stevens and a host of other family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Galeed Baptist Church in Bladenboro with a funeral service at 3:00 pm with the Reverend Bobby Winebarger and Reverend Brett Young officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Singletary Cemetery in Butters.
