Ava Caroline Wilson, age 16, entered into her heavenly home on January 19, 2023. Ava was born on January 18, 2007, to her parents Chey and Jill Wilson, in Columbus, Georgia.
A celebration of life service will be held 3:00 PM Monday, January 23, 2023 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Ava was so special to her family, especially her loving and devoted parents. Ava had many challenges in life, which she faced with a quiet strength and resilience that made an impact on all of those who knew and loved her. In her little life, Ava defied all odds and overcame so much with her fighting spirit and graceful toughness. She had her own way of showing her silly and spunky personality and could light up a whole room with her smile. Though Ava will be missed more than words could ever convey, her family is at peace knowing she is now healed and whole in the presence of Jesus in heaven.
The family would like to personally thank all of the medical professionals, doctors, teachers, therapists and caregivers that loved and nurtured Ava over the years and impacted her life in a positive way.
Ava is survived by her parents, Chey and Jill Wilson, loving little brother, Pike Wilson, grandparents, Barbara and Gene McNeil, Gail and Mike LaFramboise, John Zetterower, Dean Wilson, aunt, Brooke Saalman and uncle, Ryan Saalman, aunt, Megan, uncle, Brad Fyffe, cousins, Jacob and Hudson Saalman, Mick Fyffe as well as countless friends who loved her like family.
