Avery Boone Dixon

Avery Boone Dixon departed this life on July 23, 2010 at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. Avery was an active member of Broadway Baptist Church in Maryville for many years. She was employed by Proffitts Department Store in Maryville for over 30 years. She was preceded in death by: Husband, Billy E. Dixon; Parents, Harry & Thelma Boone; Sister, Jane B. Denise. Survivors include: Daughter & Son-in-law, Ann & Jerry Hammontree of Lenoir City, TN; Son & Daughter-in-law, Eugene & Diane Dixon of Maryville, TN; Sisters, Martha Parkinson of Jackson, TN & Ruth Ann Rutherford of Houston, TX. She was particularly proud of her five grandchildren: Dr. Brandon Dixon of Hendersonville, TN, Emily Dixon of London, England, Boone Dixon & wife Sara of Maryville, TN, Bart Hammontree & wife Karen of Knoxville, TN, and Aaron Hammontree & wife Amy of Knoxville. Her two great-grand-daughters, Isabella & Sophia Hammontree were always a great source of joy in her life. Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 5:00 PM, Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Smith West Chapel with funeral services to follow at 5:00 PM.
