Avie Cecilia Musgrove Rauen, 86, of Hahira, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Barney, GA, to the late Gus Moree and Avie Roberts Moree, Avie dedicated her life to her family and faith.
She was married to the late Paul Rauen and was a devoted member of Gateway Baptist Church. Throughout her life, Mrs. Rauen was known for her unwavering love and care for those around her.
She is survived by her daughters Cathryn Musgrove Hardman of Adel, Freida Musgrove Mitchell (David) of Quitman, GA, her son Kenneth Earl Musgrove, Jr. (Cindy) of Valdosta, and her daughter Susan Musgrove Pope (Sonny) of Hahira, and sons Doug Rauen (Julie), of Oregon, and Peter Rauen, of Missouri. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren—Darren Hardman, Cameron Hardman, Chad Carter, Joshua Carter, Jennifer Walker, Thomas Walker, Chelsea Westerman, Lucas Musgrove, and Juliette Pope—as well as numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Her sister Nell Yeomans of Valdosta also survives her.
Mrs. Rauen was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Earl Musgrove, Sr., her son Kenneth Lee Musgrove, her second husband Paul Rauen, and siblings Lois Hardman, Robert Gus Moree, Jr., Evelyn Hardman, Annette Courson, and Christine Parker.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 27, 2025, at Friendship Cemetery in Hahira, with Reverend Tommy Bussey officiating.
