Avis M. Crews entered this life November 16, 1960, to the parents of Roscoe J. and Frances I. Crews. Avis was born in Mansfield, Ohio and in 1975 moved to Columbus and called it home. She is a graduate of Columbus East High School and attened The Ohio State University majoring in Business. Avis worked for The State of Ohio and as a Nurse's Aide.
Avis is the mother of two daughters. E'tearrea Marie Crews-McClee and A'marrea Avis Crews-McClee. Avis was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend.
On March 27, 2023, Avis Marie Crews was called to her eternal rest. She leaves to cherish, and honor her memory, Thomas McClee (husband) 2 children E'Tearrea Marie Crews-McClee and A'marrea Avis Crews-McClee (Deion) 2 Grandchildren Kyla Rose Marie Brown, Zy'ahir Samuel McClee. Brothers Jeffery M. Parker (Regina), Sidney D. Parker, Ed Favors, Jamon A. Crews (Rosalyn) sisters Mary Linn Parker, Javetta D. Gray, Tamiko Anderson and special cousin Bill Twyman, nieces, Blair Higgins (Kenny), Franceshca Milner (Justin) Jessica B. Parker, Whitney Anderson, Erinn Bussey (Randolph) Summer Rae Parker, Makayla Gray and nephews, Demitrius J. Caldwell, Jacob M. Gray, Niles C. Anderson and a host of great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son Freedom Crews-McClee. (father) Roscoe J. Crews, (mother) Frances I. Crews, (grandmother) Mollie Goings-Freeman (grandfather) Archie R. Freeman (uncle) Elmo Freeman (brother) Joe A. Parker
Avis was an excellent seamstress and loved spending time with her daughter's and grandchildren. She loved to travel, skate, and read. Avis loved Jehovah God and accepted Jesus The Christ as her Lord and Savior. One of her favorite scriptures was Matthew 6:9-13. The Lord's Prayer.
Peaceful slumber Avis we love you and will miss you dearly.
