Baby Ruth Sneed, born June 26, 1935, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2025. A lifelong resident of Dallas, Texas, Ruth was cherished for her kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family.
She found joy in the simple things-sharing meals, telling stories, and spending time with lovedones. Ruth especially loved cooking for her children and her church whenever her health allowed, offering comfort and nourishment through her meals. She was known for her welcoming spirit, always opening her home and heart to friends and family. Her laughter and wisdom will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her daughters Brenda Hintzen(John) and Cecelia Sneed, and her son Daryl Sneed. She was the beloved grandmother of Byron Proctor (deceased), Yosha McDaniel, Jamal Sneed, Chantrice Sneed, Derek Hintzen, Darlene Hintzen and Denise Hintzen. She leaves behind great-grandchildren Brena Proctor, Jamal Sneed Jr., Chanaya Smith, Brayden and Bryson Proctor, Chariyah Smith, and Latifah Akinyemi. Ruth is also survived by her brothers Leonard Jackson and Joe Jackson, and was preceded in death by her siblings Doris Jackson and Louis Sneed. She will be fondly remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
