Baltazar Salinas, Jr., 75, sadly passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023.
Baltazar was born June 15, 1948 in Beeville to Baltazar and Francisca (Garcia) Salinas Sr. He married Jesusa Garcia in 1969 in Beeville and they spent 50 wonderful years together. Baltazar was a faithful member of St. James Catholic Church and had a career as a professional plumber.
Baltazar was preceded in death by his wife, Jesusa Salinas; his parents; a daughter, Mary Salinas; and a son Jimmy Salinas.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra (Ronald) Baldillez and Melissa Rosas; six grandchildren, Jesse Guajardo, Roland Barrientes Jr., Cassandra Cabazos, and Jamie Nicole Rosas Sprouse, Roshelle Rosas, and Demisha Rosas; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Sophia Gonzales and Luisa (Frank) Galarza.
Visitation will be held from 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 6, at Angelus Funeral Home with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m.
Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 7, at St. James Catholic Church with Father Jacob Valayath and Father Pete Elizardo officiating.
Burial will follow in the Berclair Cemetery in Berclair.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Baldillez, Joshua Meakins, Eloy Canales, Jayden Barrientes, Erik Serrano, and Nathaniel Garza
Honorary pallbearers Jesse Guajardo, Roland Barrientes Jr., and Patrick Garza.
