Barb Watson Obituary

Barb Watson, a beacon of selflessness and kindness, was called home on June 13, 2024, at the age of 76, in Franklin, Wisconsin. Born on October 29, 1947, in Muskego, Wisconsin, Barb was the cherished daughter of the late Robert and Helen Schauwitzer. Her warmth and friendly nature touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving an indelible mark on her community and family.
Barb's life was a testament to love and devotion. She was the beloved wife of the late John C. Watson, and together they built a life filled with joy and companionship. She was a compassionate and supportive mother to Jeff (Nicole) Watson and took immense pride in being the grandmother to Devin, Jake, and Maddie Watson, whose activities and achievements brought her immeasurable happiness.
Barb was also a caring sister and is survived by her siblings Steve (Lynn), Ken (Charlene), and Bill (Mary) Schauwitzer. She was predeceased by her brother Dave (Peggy) Schauwitzer. Her extended family included her sister-in-law, Mary Watson, and Charlene George. Barb's strong relationships extended beyond her immediate family, as she was a dear friend turned forever family to Rick and Mary Przybyla, her close friends at the Forest Hills Highlands community and many others whose lives she enriched through her unwavering friendship and support.
Professionally, Barb was a long-time and respected employee of H.O. Bostrom, where she not only contributed her skills and diligence but also formed lasting relationships with her colleagues.
Barb's interests were a reflection of her love for life and connection with others. She found immense joy in spending time with her family, creating memories that would last a lifetime. An avid player of cards and games, she was always ready for a friendly get together and the laughter that would inevitably follow. Barb also embraced the practice of yoga, luncheons with friends and quiet outings with her grandchildren.
Those who knew Barb would describe her as the epitome of kindness. She approached every interaction with a friendly demeanor and a willingness to help, making her a cherished presence in the lives of many. Barb's selfless nature was evident in the way she cared for her family and friends, always placing the needs of others before her own.
In her passing, Barb leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and selflessness. As the sun sets on a life well-lived, we bid farewell to Barb Watson, a woman of grace and compassion. Her memory will continue to inspire those who knew her, and her influence will live on through the countless lives she touched. Barb's journey on earth may have come to a close, but the warmth of her presence will forever be felt by those who loved her. She will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to experience her gentle spirit and generous heart.
