Barbara Adelberg

Barbara Richman Adelberg passed away on Wednesday evening, (February 28, 2024) and reached the age of 94. She was born in Brooklyn NY, daughter of Jean and Louis Richman. She was a graduate of Weaver High School and Mitchell College, both in Connecticut. She was a stay at home mom and later worked part-time as a secretary for Hartford Hospital in the Allied Health Department. Her deceased loving husband was Merwin Alfred Adelberg and they had been happily married 62 years. She leaves three children, David Adelberg of Falls Church, VA and his wife Mary Alice Adelberg, Charles Adelberg of San Jose, CA and his wife Davida Adelberg, and Susan Dubin of Brookline, MA and her husband Benjamin Dubin. She also leaves four grandchildren, Janine Adelberg, Daniel Adelberg, Mayer Adelberg and Kai Dubin and three great grandchildren Gabriel Bergknoff, Elizabeth Bergknoff and Jesse Bergknoff.
There will be a graveside service on Monday, March 4, 2024 at 11:30AM, Beth Israel Cemetery in Avon, CT.
The Shiva will be from 12:30 – 2:30 at Congregation Beth Israel: 701 Farmington Avenue, West Hartford, CT
