Mrs. Barbara A. Hall, 86, of Galesburg, Illinois died 4:00 a.m. Monday, August 8, 2022, at her daughter s home in Galesburg.
She was born July 9, 1936, in Galesburg to Laverne and Leona (Poe) Anderson. She married Charles Hall, August 4, 1954, in Galesburg. He preceded her in death February 23, 2012.
Surviving are three sons, Michael (and Barbara) Hall of Gilbert, Arizona, Robert Hall of Galesburg, and Randy Hall of Gladstone, Missouri, a daughter, Cindy Savage of Galesburg, seven grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren and one on the way . She was preceded in death by her parents, a son-in-law, Gary Savage and a daughter-in-law, Patty Hall.
Barbara graduated from Galesburg High School in 1954. She received her associate degree at Carl Sandburg College in 1988 and her bachelor s degree at Knox College in 1995. She worked at the Galesburg Research Hospital for 23 years. She later worked as an LPN at Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville, Illinois for several years and retired in 2017 at the age of 77. She was of the Nazarene faith. She was a member of the REACT, a CB radio first responders club. Barbara was loved and will be missed by her family and friends.
As Barbara requested, cremation will be accorded. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Galesburg Chapel. Cremation burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday following the visitation at Memorial Park Cemetery, Galesburg. Deacon Michael Crummer will officiate. Memorials may be made to Knox County Humane Society or OSF Hospice. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
