Barbara Ann Golden was born on April 27, 1942, to the late Sterling & Martha Carreker of Woodland, GA. She departed this life on August 23, 2025. She had 9 siblings, 6 of whom preceded her in death (James Henry, Robert, Willie, Jesse, Lillian, & Jasper).
Barbara confessed to Christ at an early age and joined Friendship Baptist Church.
She attended Ruth Carter High School in Talbotton, GA, graduating with the Class of 1962.
Barbara worked in the hospitality industry for numerous years.
To cherish her memory, Barbara leaves 3 children whom she loved with all of her heart: Natalie Golden, Yolanda Golden, & Rodrigue Golden, all of Atlanta, GA; on grandson, Jerron Golden of Atlanta, GA; four great-grandsons, Jerron Jr., Justice, Jibari, & Jihad, all of Atlanta, GA; three sisters, Frances Cobb, Jean Carreker, and Debra Carreker, all of Atlanta, GA; four sisters-in-law, Susie Carreker, Linda Carreker, Hazel Carreker, and Daise Carreker; on special friend, Pamela Albert-Worthy; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
