Barbara Ann Crochet May, a resident of Gibson, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at her home.
Barbara was born July 8, 1942, the daughter of Clay Crochet and Lilia Guillotte Crochet.
Barbara was a vibrant spirit, who was a passionate cook and loved bringing family and friends together around the dinner table. Ever the entertainer, she found joy in karaoke nights, where her singing filled the air with delight and joy. Whether at home or at the local casino, Barbara knew how to celebrate life and bring smiles to those around her.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter, Renee May; granddaughter, Heather May, great-grandchildren, Jaden May and wife Victoria, J’shawn Anderson, Jayla May; sisters-in-law, Jackie Montet, Patricia Pasion, Veronica Bernadou, Blanche LeBlanc; brothers-in-law, Garry May, and Harry May.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Clay and Lilia Crochet; husband Ronald May Sr.; son, Ronald May Jr. siblings, Lois Granier, Ray Crochet, C.J. Crochet, Gerald Crochet, Ovay Crochet; brothers-in-law, Earnest May Sr., Earnest May Jr., John Paul May, Archie May.
Keeping with her wishes, Barbara will be cremated.
Graveside service's will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Patrick Cemetery in Gibson.
