Barbara Kay Baker

FORT WORTH - Barbara Baker was born June 22, 1948, in Lima, Ohio. On December 28, 2023, at the age 75, she passed away in her home, located in Saginaw, Texas. She was proceeded in death by her parents Roy C and Beatrice P (Frisinger) McClure, her sister Susan Adams, and her husband Thomas Baker.
She grew up in Lima, Ohio and was a 1966 graduate of Lima Senior High. After graduation, she married Thomas Baker on October 21, 1967, then moved to River Oaks, Texas, where they bought their first home. It was in this town she resided for over fifty years, raised four daughters, studied to be an interpreter for the deaf at Tarrant County Community College, worked at Radiology Associates, and created a loving home. A few years ago, Barbara Baker bought her dream retirement home In Saginaw, Texas. She enjoyed various craft projects, held family holidays, and special family gatherings.
Resting peacefully with her husband, Barbara Baker is survived by;
Children - Joleen (Ray) Hubbard -residing in Cleburne, Tx, Kris (Aaron) Murphy -residing in Bedford, Tx, Beatrice (James) Smith - residing in Humble, Tx, and Carol (Justin) Hart - residing in Saginaw, Texas.
Grandchildren - James (Jennifer) Post, Cody (Samantha) Post, Tabitha (Cody) Powell, Christopher Hubbard; Rachelle (Eric) Phifer, Amanda Murphy, Brendan Murphy; Alexis (Austin) Whittington, Tyler Smith, Maresah Smith, Darian Hart, and Llivian Hart
Great Grandchildren - Evalyn Post, Elleanor Post; Parker Post, Charlotte Post; Jordan Powell, Chloe Powell; Amara Phifer- Moore; Rhett Whittington
Barbara Baker is also survived by; her brother-in-law Walter Adam Jr (widower of Susan Adams), their children, Grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024, at 9:30 am at Greenwood Funeral Home, Fort Worth, Tx. A burial will be held in the Greenwood Cemetery following the service.
