She was preceded in death by her son: Anthony Scott Trew; mother: Carrie Mae McHone; father: Rex "Duck" McHone, brothers: JB McHone, Ralph McHone, Dean McHone, Aaron McHone, Clarence "Tootle" McHone, Tommy McHone, Daws "Fats" McHone, sisters: Nella Broadwell-McHone, Shirley McHone Trews, Patricia Jerles.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 52 years: Clifford Bales; daughters: Lisa Bales, Pam Trew, son: Allen (Karen) Trew, siblings: Sandra Letner McHone, Rex (Lois) McHone, Gene (Margie) McHone; grandchildren: Amy (Shawn) Crawley, Falon (Steven) Smith, Todd Summers, Anthony (Kallie) Ellington, Jace Trew; great grandchildren: Karinn Crawley, Lila Brown, Keegan Smith, Lane Smith, Truett Smith, Devin Summers, Kaden Summers, Bronwyn Ellington, whom loved her very much.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, in the Dexter Bales Family Cemetery in Ten Mile, per Barbara's request. A private family viewing will be held at 11 a.m., prior to the service.
Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services is honored to serve the Bales Family.
