Barbara Bianchi Obituary

Barbara Lee Bianchi
1934 - 2025
Barbara Lee Bianchi, 91, of Hamden passed away November 12, 2025, after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Alfred J. Bianchi, Sr. and had resided in Hamden for many years. Born in New Haven February 23, 1934, she graduated from Quinnipiac College and was a real estate appraiser owning her firm Bianchi Appraisal Service. Barbara especially enjoyed boating with Alfred every weekend.
She is survived by her sons, Alfred J. Bianchi, Jr. (MaryEllen) of Orange, Michael D. Bianchi of Stamford, and Damian Bianchi (Susan) of Durham; her brothers, Freeman, Ray, and Bill Newhall; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Barbara shared a special bond with her uncle and aunt, John and Doris Elias; her uncle, John, proudly walked her down the aisle on her wedding day and she remained close to her cousins, Ginger and Carrol.
She was lovingly known as "Noni" by her grandchildren, Alfred III, Robert, Joseph, Amelicia, Christina, and Damian Paul Bianchi, and by her cherished great-grandson, Jackson Bianchi.
A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Barbara's life will be held on Wednesday, November 19, at 11:00 a.m., directly at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, St. Paul VI Parish, 2819 Whitney Avenue, Hamden. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home.
Contributions, in her memory, may be sent to the Wounded Warriors Project at woundedwarriorproject.org . To send a condolence, please see her obituary at www.beecherandbennett.com .
