Barbara S. Blankenship

Barbara S. Blankenship, born on April 19, 1936 in Richmond, Va., was called home to be with the Lord on July 14, 2025. She is preceded in passing by her parents, Frank and Gertrude Seal; and her brothers, Frank Seal Jr. and Beverly Seal. She is survived by her devoted husband of 71 years, Frank Blankenship Sr; her children, Frank Blankenship Jr. (Sheila), and Kenny Blankenship; her 4 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. Barbara lived in Richmond, Va. her whole life. She graduated from John Marshall High School. As a young lady she met the love of her life, Frank Blankenship Sr. who she spent her life with for 71 beautiful years. Barbara was a long-time member of Providence United Methodist Church. She was a member of the ladies' auxiliary at the Wagstaff Circle Fire Department. Barbara loved painting and being able to express herself on a canvas. She also enjoyed gardening, including yardwork, but more than anything she loved to spoil her husband.

The family will recieve friends, Monday, July 21, 2025 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Bliley's-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Road where a celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service, and interment will follow in Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Providence United Methodist Church.
