Barbara Jeaneen Bowers (Bobbie) went to be with her Heavenly Father January 12, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Louise Pratt Bowers and William Henry Bowers, born in Columbia and lived there until 1955, when she and her family moved to Cayce, SC. Barbara graduated from Dreher High School and shortly after became employed with GMAC and retired from there after 40 years of service. Barbara was an active member at Green Hill Baptist Church, life member of Beta Sigma Phi, Sunshine Group, the Lydia Sunday School Class, GM Fun Timers and Bible study group.
Barbara was proceeded in death by her parents, her brothers, William D. bowers (Bill) and his wife, Marileen Marchant Bowers, infant sister, Joyce Yvonne and her grandparents.
Barbara is survived by her beloved nieces and nephews, Mary Jeaneen Bowers, Karen Derene Browy (Scott), Michelle Dyer (George); great niece, Brittany Browy Youngblood (Lee) and great nephew, Christopher (Dana) Browy; great nephews, Austin and Aiden Bowers; great great nieces and nephews, Ryleigh, Wade, Navy and Indigo Youngblood, Rucker and Huck Browy.
The family will receive friends Wednesday January 15, 2025 at Green Hill Baptist Church, with the funeral service beginning at 1pm at the church. Burial will follow at Celestial Memorial Gardens.
