Barbara Boyd: A Life Defined by Love and Joy
Barbara Boyd, 79, a devoted wife, nurturing mother, and cherished Grandma, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 22, 2025, in Red Bank, NJ, surrounded by the enduring love of her family.
Born in Passaic and raised in Kearny, NJ, Barbara brought vibrant energy and infectious warmth to everything she did. She was a longtime resident of Middletown, NJ, where she dedicated herself to building a beautiful life centered around faith, family, and friendship.
Barbara found immense joy in trips to the beach (especially when it stormed), spending endless days and nights on the family boat "Music", and countless trips to AC all with her loving husband just to name a few.
Barbara's greatest happiness and proudest legacy was her family. She was the beloved wife of Bruce Boyd for 51+ wonderful years, a partnership built on mutual respect and unwavering devotion. Her enduring love, wisdom, and famous home-cooked meals will forever be treasured by her three devoted sons: Brian and his wife Lisa, Brad, and Brandon and his wife Michele. She was the proud, spirited grandmother to five adored grandchildren, Brodie, Logan, Jaxon, Madison, and Lucas, who were the light of her life.
She is also survived by her loving brother, David Tweed and his wife Elena, along with a host of cherished nieces, nephews, and extended family members whose lives she touched with generosity and kindness. Barbara was reunited in heaven with her loving parents, James Tweed II and Mary Smith, and her brother, James "Tiny" Tweed, III.
A memorial service to celebrate Barbara's life will be held on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown, NJ.
