Barbara Bradley Brandon

Barbara Bradley Brandon died November 3, 2023.
She was born March 18, 1942 in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, the first-born child of Harold and
Jane Bradley. Her beloved family includes husband, Herbert F. Brandon III; children, Kate
Brandon and spouse, Heath Wagner of Colorado; Megan Brandon Angle and husband,
Geoffrey; grandchildren, North Angle (Taylor), Marin Angle, Parrish Angle, Caper Angle,
Archer Angle, Osage Angle and Maple Angle; great grandchildren, Sutton Angle and Lincoln
Angle all of Farmville, Virginia. As well as ten siblings: H. Robert Bradley, Jr (Mary) of Georgia,
Susan Farrell and her late husband, Joe; Richard Bradley and his wife, Pam; the late John
Bradley and his wife, Janice; Virginia Bradley; the late James Bradley; David Bradley and his
wife, Jan; Robin Doherty and her husband, Dean; Michael Bradley; as well as many cousins,
nieces and nephews.
Barbara graduated from Douglas Southall Freeman High School in Richmond, Virginia.
Amongst her many talents in high school, she was known as an lightning-fast accurate typist and
won competitions. After high school she indulged her adventurous spirit. She traveled solo
throughout Europe. She owned a Triumph TR3 and loved racing British sports cars. She also
learned to fly a Cessna plane. She later moved to North Carolina where she worked for Swift and
Co. She was known as “The Sausage Lady of Charlotte” and met her husband while making her
sales rounds. Once back in VA, She developed an interest in computers and started her own
business (Letter Perfect Limited) out of the family home, doing word processing, resumés and
direct mailings utilizing her typing and organizational talents. The business was very successful
and soon outgrew its home-based location.
A lifelong lover of books, anglophile and admirer of Queen Elizabeth II, she loved following the
British Royal Family and reading British murder-mysteries. She also enjoyed watching NFL
football especially the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos.
