Barbara E. Burt

Barbara E. Burt, 88, originally of Beverly, MA, passed into God's graces on Thursday, September 25th. Born on October 6, 1936, she was the daughter to the late Lawrence and Nellie Cann and beloved wife to George Burt.
Barb was a graduate of Beverly High School. She went on to attend the Chandler School for Women and worked at Parker Bros. in Salem until she left to raise her family. Later, she worked for the Beverly YMCA. Barb had a wonderful sense of adventure and loved to travel. She and George traveled many places around the world including trips to Alaska, Hawaii, eight Caribbean cruises, visits to numerous western U.S. State Parks, as well as traveling to Canada and Europe. Barb was also an avid golfer and for quite a few years was a member of the Wenham Country Club and the Sable Trace Golf Club in North Port, FL where she enjoyed playing.
Barbara is survived by her devoted husband of 69 years. She was the dedicated mother of Stephen Burt, George Burt Jr., Richard Burt, Donna Burt, Linda Richard and her husband David, Timothy Burt and his wife, Donna, and Jeffrey Burt and his wife, Julie. She cherished her beloved grandchildren; Benjamin Burt, Cori Burt Ryan, Michael Pereira, Samuel Pereira, Ian Burt, Erin Burt Devine, Jospeh Burt, Bianca Burt, and Nicholas Burt. Barbara also leaves her adoring great-grandchildren; Jack Devine, Miles, Chloe, and Alana Burt, and Brielle and Callie Ryan.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Lawrence Cann and her sister, Mildred Cann Eldridge.
