Barbara Calder Obituary

Barbara Lynn Calder

August 1, 1951 - August 19, 2023

Magna, UT-Barbara Lynn Johnson Calder

Born August 1, 1951 to Patricia Ann and Grant L Johnson passed away peacefully August 19th, 2023 at the age of 72. Bobbi was a lifelong resident of Salt Lake County where she married the love of her life Steven Calder on January 31st, 1975. Together they created a beautiful family of their daughters Tawna & Tiffany and their sons Steven II and Robert. Their family continued to grow as they added 19 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Bobbi lived her life for her family and was an amazing wife, mom, grandma, great grandma and friend to many. Mom loved to bowl in her younger years where she made many great friends at Delton Lanes and although her and Dad knew each other in high school they reconnected at the lanes and began their life together. We spent many of our youth days camping on the Duchesne River with our neighbors and life long friends, Landers family. She worked for Harper Investments for over 30 years before joining Dad in retirement. Mom and Dad spent their retirement traveling to visit family, supporting their great friends on fishing competitions and camping, and spending every chance they could with their grandkids and great grandkids. Mom and Dad enjoyed having friends and family over for pumpkin carving, gingerbread houses, crawfish boils and especially Thanksgiving, if you didn't have a place to go, you were welcomed with open arms.

Bobbi is survived by her husband Steven, daughters Tawna (Grant) Sudbury, Tiffany Baisch; sons Steven Calder II, Robert Calder, her many grandkids and their partners, her great grandkids, and her loving dog Madi. Her siblings and in-laws Ed (MJ) Caldwell, Sharon (Stuart) Richardson, Shauna (Rick) Martin, Lynn (Nancy) Calder, Shelly (Dennis) Blair, Kelli (Denny) Thomas, Donna (Roger) West and many nieces and nephews and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Patricia (Donn) and Grant, son in-law Randy Baisch, in-laws Ettie Mosher, Ray Calder, Opal Snyder and Fulmer Snyder.

Funeral services will be held Monday August 28th, 2023 at 11am with visitation following and graveside services at 12pm to follow at Veterans Memorial Cemetery 17111 S Redwood Rd, Riverton, Utah.

Aunt Bobbi was always kind to me and my early childhood photos are flooded with her memory. She was soft spoken (most of the time) and reminded me most of grandma.
My condolences and respect to her entire family. She will be fondly missed.

I am so sorry for your loss, my thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time of mourning. I loved playing bunco with Bobbi over the years and my kids still bring up the "frozen slushies" that Bobbi and Steve were making for everyone when we were together at Lava.
Lots of love,
