Published by Legacy on Nov. 20, 2025.
Barbara Ann Caldwell, of Warrington, PA, died peacefully on November 16, 2025, at Bristol House Memory Care. She was 92 years old.

Born in Mahanoy City, PA, Barbara was the daughter of the late R. Mark and Selina Boyle (Bailey) Edwards. The family moved to North Philadelphia when she was a child graduating from Simon Gratz High School in 1950. They eventually settled in Parkland, Bucks County, where she met her future husband at the post office.

Barbara was the loving wife of the late Alexander S. Caldwell, Jr. Married in 1954 the couple shared 58 years together at the time of his passing in 2012.

Barbara obtained her R.N. from Episcopal Hospital School of Nursing. She became a Director of Nursing at several different nursing facilities in Bucks and Pike counties.

Barbara liked to cook and take care of her family. As an avid reader her love of books led her to volunteer at the Bucks County Library for many years. She enjoyed genealogy and traveled extensively doing research for a book that she authored titled "Ours is the Heritage". Her anthology detailed the ancestry of the Edwards and Caldwell families. In her spare time, she loved shopping and was accomplished at crochet.

Barbara will be missed by her daughter Deborah R. Edwards and her husband Warren, son Mark D. Caldwell and his wife Diane, and daughter Cheryl Caldwell; her grandchildren, Jared Rakes (Linda), Rachael Rakes, Erin Fox (Dimas Vasquez), and Stephen Caldwell (Maura); her great grandchildren, Zoe Fox, Madeline Rakes, Alex Rakes and William Caldwell. She is also survived by her sister Lynda Edwards and her nephew David Edwards.

Public services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to either The 22q Family Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.
