Barbara Callender Obituary
Barbara was born March 21, 1955 in Houston Texas to Johnny and Rose Ferro. She married Clayton Callender on October 15, 1993. She was a housewife and homemaker for her husband and children, and a member of Gillsburg Baptist Church.
Barbara was devoted to Clayton, to family and to friends. She was known as Nonie to everyone. She loved to feed a crowd, laugh and cut up with family and friends; play Canasta with Ronnie and Jane Travis; fish, go to family get togethers and share choice Italian phrases. She had a big infectious laugh.
She is survived by her husband Clayton Callender; children Kim Grimes, Jerry Grimes, Katie Blanton and Will, Jaime Turner and Davis; grandchildren Kylie Grimes, Raegan Woodard, Elijah Turner, Lucas Turner, Charley Turner, Braden Blanton, Ashlyn Blanton, and Kailin Blanton; great grandchildren Jon Weller and Lynlee; sisters Kathy Shank, Brenda Belvin, and Rose Stevens; and brother Johnny Ferro Jr.
Visitation is Wednesday November 5, 2025 at Gillsburg Baptist Church in Gillsburg, Mississippi, from 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12:00 P.M. Wednesday at the church, officiated by Dr. Victor Walsh. Graveside will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Elijah Turner, Lucas Turner, Braden Blanton, Carson Causey, Tim Delaney Jr., and Cody Delaney.
I lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Gillsburg Baptist Church.
